We are all heading to our last supper.
My friend you are going to die, seriously you are going to cease to live in this universe. You are going to decay. Isn’t that scary?
It reminds of that movie I watched a few years ago, where every human had a clock on their wrist ticking down each seconds. The time would have deducted based on giving time to others or purchasing stuff.
The only real difference is that we can’t see the time remaining and we can purchase things or donate time. But what is real is we can gain or subtract a few minutes choosing what we indulge in, either it is drugs, diet or exercise. The small actions on a daily basis really makes a difference in adjusting our life clock.
But in the end, we are all going to meet a friend we have in common; death. The question is then what are we going to say to him, why so early? I am not done yet? I’m sorry! I regret not pursuing what I really want!
So it is time to get our head out of our asses, pretending we are immortal and start thinking how we are going to live if we know death could be right around the corner. How would you like people around you to remember you? What would you like to accomplish before that expiration date? Have you got all your affairs wrapped up? Are you happy where you currently are? Do you think you could do better?
Death is an old friend; I know him well. I lived with him, ate with him, slept with him; to meet him again does not frighten me death is as necessary as birth, as happy in its own way.
